This is a very sensitive spectrometer with some caveats. Newport Oriel portable 500NM-1100NM OSM2-400 visir-u spectrometer ocean optics title sum it up and mouse over photos to see WASP. What looks like bad pixels on the display is just surface dust that always shows up at photo sessions. Input connector is an SMA905.

A fiber optic cable, cosine corrector, manual, carom, ac adapter and carrying case are all included. Said battery pack has been replaced and 2-3 hours runtime can be expected.

It does not have order sorting filters, so wave lengths shorter than 500nm will show up nicely unless a low pass filter is in the path. 5nm, the detector is of back thinned and illuminated type, Sony I think.

The resolution is if it Ian't mentioned in included complete standalone battery powered spectrometer with a range of 500nm to 1100nm. Like all digital spectrometers there are some warm pixels that show up as a single line looks nothing spectral and said defects can be normalized out. Two of the photos show just that and one other fiber is pointed out a window to atmospheric Rayleigh lines. Originally purchased new and sat unused for several years until last year when the battery pack was found to be deader than a politicians promise.

For example the 254nm Hg line shows up at 762nm so detector has strong UV response, probably to 200nm.
